I went to the game today. The stadium is amazing. I love everything about it. The green walls make it bright and unique. People who don't like the green either haven't been there or are too set in their ways. As I was eating my lunch I took this beautiful iPhone photo entitled "Picadillo with D-backs PB". Just to the left there is a seam where the roof sections join that was leaking badly. I'm not sure if they got it fixed or not as I left the area after feeding my face. It was delicious, BTW.

Anibal was amazing. Unhittable after he got it together. Going to my first game of the year tomorrow!!

We're getting off the subject here. The Marlins need to start hitting as a team. Where do you look when everyone is struggling at the plate? F**king Stanton looks like he's never played the game before. A hitting coach is supposed to recognize problems and help hitters make adjustments. And you really think Eduardo's not doing that? There's not much he can do when the entire team is struggling offensively. Maybe try some weird thing to get the team going. For instance, the Angels did this once, suggested by Rod Carew - they used the same exact bat for an entire turn through the lineup [was Jim Edmonds' bat, I believe] and things got turned around. [That bat went 4-8 with a walk in that one turn through the lineup]. The OP was about Perez, not Gonzalez. I stand by my opinion that Fredi was a good manager but what does that have to do with the OP other than trying to say I don't know what I'm talking about? Is Carew available? :flex .

The Sporting News Manager of the Year, 2008 Anyway, I still think there is a better hitting coach that could help with all this potential and grossly underachieving. Just my opinion. We'll see what happens. Hopefully some guys will come out of it and it will be a non-issue, but this sucks to watch right now. .

Face palm to the umph degree You don't fire people over and over just because something hasn't been working. He's been here less than a year. Just fire him once.

There has got to be a better hitting coach out there that can do a better job. I could understand if one or two guys were slumping, but really, nobody in the lineup is hitting. Something has got to give. What was Eduardo, like .249 lifetime as a player? I know that some really good hitting coaches were not great hitters but I think the team needs a change there.

I'm gonna set the DVR and hope for the best. Don't tell me what happens!!!

The Marlins schedule says Friday's game will be televised on MLB but my comcast listing and the MLB website show two other games scheduled. I'll be away and want to set my dvr, anyone know what the deal is?

Hanley had no chance at a double play, his only play would have been to the plate with a bad angle - runner in the way. He would have had to make an above average play if he picked it cleanly. Yes, he should have backhanded but I'll bet most 3b don't make that play either. He'll be fine at 3b. I also think he grimaced a bit and then could be seen stretching the shoulder in the dugout. Let's hope it's nothing.
