  1. Sorry, next time I post on a fast food thread, I will try to be as articulate and insightful as I possibly can.
  2. Jay sucks, but for some reason he has one of the best winning % of QB's for the past few years... The O line freaking sucks and Griese is just standing there waiting to be sacked most of the time.. and whats up with his little p***y tosses? Doesn't he understand that the Titans defense was just sitting on those to intercept? What an idiot.
  3. What level is that Hamels is playing in? He has almost the same numbers Willis did in the minors... and he's a lefty too. Hey runey, is Hamel a hard thrower?
  4. willis.. now thats just wigger activity
  5. That's it.. Heat need to now focus on being last for the draft.
  6. jaguars are gay. Miami better do something next week. Wasn't this team supposed to be better than last years??? and I've had enough of Griese..
  7. and im bored too... i can't eat fast food because i'd be broke and also too many calories i dont need.
  8. i think that in the Al it should be either Gerut or Matsui In NL i think it should be Podsednik but dontrelle is close behind Podsednik broke tons of rookie records this year!!! NO DOUBT IT SHOULD BE HIM!!! records? You mean Brewer records right?
  9. webb nor willis deserve it Yeap, that 2.84 ERA and 180/172 innings pitched/K ratio is not worthy.. oh yea and 140 hits in 180 innings isnt worthy as well.
  10. I live in my own.. I just went down for the games bud. You ever heard of a microwave, toaster and stove furman?
  11. necessity haha funny.. I haven't had fast food in almost 2 years... well I had subway that day I went down for the WS games 3-5 but my moms paid for it.. Fast food?? Yea right.. The only time I attempted to get fast food, the drive thru line was like a mile long (no joke) so I said f*** that...
  12. Wow, thats awesome. I've been looking for stuff all day and haven't found something that good. How do you do it?
  13. well looks like i found my answer to why castro wasnt used... he was going to be a super 2 arbitration eligible guy this season no matter what because he was on the roster for more than 86 days. If they would have used him more, his price could have been jacked up to about a million or so just like Mike Redmond's price was jacked up because of his usage.
  14. thanks 83gator, it helped alot. I got everybody right so far now with the arbitration eligibility, except for one, and it's V. Nunez. I know he doesn't matter much, but he was in his 4th year of arbitration, but since he wasn't on the Marlins roster for enough service days in 2003 (was he on the 40 man? He's not on it now) does that mean he is still in his 4th year, or does the 20 or so days he was on our 40 man still count as the service days it takes for an arbitration year?
  15. Stat geek alert! (I mean the guy who wrote the other post early in the year) Those 16 outs didn't account for how many double plays Pierre broke up by stealing the base or how Pierre disrupts the defense with his speed threat and the added fastballs for the following hitters as well as rushing the tempo of the pitcher to the plate. Pierre's speed is far more valuable than you could figure with any stat. Oh and who would you trade him for? 2.3 million for an excellent leadoff hitter and good fielder that sets the table up for all of our other hitters? The only other option for a cheaper price would be an "iffy" free agent or minor leaguer in our system. Pierre is a young guy and will actualy get better. He will bat for a higher average and steal more bases in the near future. This was not his career year. Um, who are you arguing with? Go find and read the post before you rip somebody. The original post wasn't disparaging Pierre at all, just rightfully calling into question the cost of the extra outs. Thanks for ignoring my posts on the other board though. I appreciated it. :lol :lol :o :hat
  16. Thanks for doing the work for me jonny.
  17. Somebody on this board wrote a real great post early in the year that said something like Pierre's speed only created an extra 8 runs for so it wasn't worth the 16 extra outs he caused. I loved the research but disagreed with the conclusion - I'll trade 16 outs for 8 runs every day of the week. I really like the OPS stat but it will always undervalue somebody like Juan Pierre. 18. The Cubs have one of the best pitching coaches. I don't think he can just be fixed. Especially with the problems Cruz has. It's not mechanical. And what makes you think Rosenthal can fix anybody? He needs to fix Almanza and Looper first.
  19. Well from what I saw, he was a little wild, but not much. Whenever I saw him on WGN, which was I don't know how much, he wasn't too wild, just spooked and he's bound to lose a game. And no Juany, Rosenthal wouldn't be able to fix him. Cruz would have to fix himself. Which I think the only way to do it is put him for relief and ease him into setup and then ease him into closer after a few years. If he's going to pan out, it sure will be one heck of a b*tch.
  20. Byebye Castillo, byebye Pudge. Pudge thinks he's going to make more or similar to the 10 million he got from the Marlins. Ain't gonna happen unless the Yanks ship out Posada. If Pudge was a catcher, without the HOF track record, those 16 hrs and .297 avg of his with 80 something RBI wouldn't be worth close to 7-8 million. At most 5 million. How old is he again? Oh yea, Gregg Myers, catcher for Toronto just signed a $900 K contract (he was a FA) and he hit 15 hrs and .307. Pudge is getting old ( hate to break it to all of you) and I'd rather give that 7-8 mill to somebody who is not a catcher because even though Pudge was the top 3 hitters in the NL in RISP, he only got 80 something RBI, because he's a catcher and can't get enough AB's for more RBI. His RISP avg is overated because he can't get in the lineup as often as another regular for more RBI opptys. It's good for a catcher, but still he won't go over 100 RBI. He's not worth that much.
