JUPITER - The Marlins made their first roster trims of the spring Thursday, releasing pitcher Nelson Cruz and reassigning six other players to the team's minor league camp.

 

Sent down were pitchers Cedrick Bowers, Bryce Florie, Delvin James, Mike Nannini, Marty McLeary and Trevor Hutchinson.

    Poor Florie. Hope he can get his injuries straightened out and does well in AAA this year.

     

    The only (mild) surprises were Nannini and Florie (of course, he shouldn't really be, because he HAS been injured).
