CapeFish
samson is explaining debt service and how the $137 million would be done. good explanation from him.
CapeFish
Hank is getting taught Business 101 by Samson. Now he is saying how PPS is connected to debt service back when Robbie built it.
CapeFish
Samson will announce his guess on how many games the Marlins will win on April 5th.
Hotcorner
Sampson mentioned that there is a "preferable site" where the Marlins would actually INCREASE the $137 amount. They obviously have serious concerns about the OB site. Also, as Marlins2003 figured, Sampson agreed that the county will be playing a much more prominent role now. I'm thinking the site near the Miami Arena is very much where the Marlins want to concentrate on.
Marlins2003
the big problem with the city is that they want to control everything and leave the marlins with nothing. I've been trying to explain this for weeks. Arriola wants all the naming rights money, will leave the marlins with no parking revenue and, if thats not bad enough, wants to name the contractor and all the concession vendors. The City of Miami deal is worse than the deal they have now with the exception of getting all the ticket revenue.

Wild Card
Samson has got to be one of the best sweet-talking salesmen I've ever seen. He could sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman wearing white gloves (courtasy of "Tommy Boy").
Hotcorner
Sounds more like a politician to me. (not that I'm rooting against him, mind you...)

I'm thinking the site near the Miami Arena is very much where the Marlins want to concentrate on. Who cares what Samson offers for increases for this site or that. Fact is the Marlins can't substantiate their claim to raise the $137 mil, much less anything more. Samson is just a salesman, and he knows who his audience is. He's telling a bunch of sports fans exactly what they want to hear, nothing more, nothing less. And of course the County will be playing a much bigger role with the Marlins now, since the City essentially told them to go pound sand. Marlins2003
It's always good to hear from you Mr. FiletO'Fish even when you are 100% wrong as you so often are. Perhaps you might want to take Loria's place next time the City says "bend over" because it wants to try out it's newest anal probe, er I mean newest proposal.
