songs that make people cry

Featured Replies

since we're doing these "movies about love" and "movies that make men cry" threads i thought this would be the next step.

i dont cry during any particular songs but some do get me emotional and a little teary sometimes.

the 2 that do it for me are "this woman's work" and "lifetime" by Maxwell.

keep in mind that i said i DIDNT cry, just a little teary eyed sometimes

Songs from U2.

"The hands that built new york" in the end of gangs of new york made me bawl. "I still haven't found what I am looking for" reminds me of the feeling I had after 9-11 so it makes me sad too.

I'm a ridiculous person.

Where can my baby be by Pearl Jam chokes me up when I hear it.

Certain songs can if I'm allready emotionally distraught. But if I'm just my happy go lucky self, than none that I know of.

3 songs for now:

1) Remember When by Alan Jackson

2) Don't Take The Girl by Tim McGraw

3) Tears In Heaven by Eric Clapton

I am not one to cry during movies or songs, really. But there is one song that makes me all emotional and teary eyed.

It's called "Via Dolorosa" and it's by Sandy Patti.

Whenever I hear it, it is during youth group retreats and they show us a slideshow or clips from a movie called "Jesus of Nazareth".

It gets me everytime.

another Eric Clapton song: Wonderful Tonight

He wrote that song after being annoyed with his wife kept on asking him if what she was wearing looked good over and over again.

learn somethin new every day.

I mean, technically, I dont think a song could move me to cry, but the songs I listed kinda get to me...especially if I'm in that kind of mood. This song'll do it. Eric Clapton is the man.

"this woman's work"

that song cracks me up it makes you laugh?

Yeah

It's a good song but it's just funny how his voice is all high and stuff

my mom thought he was a woman the first time she heard it. it took me a while a to convince her it was a man. i love that song though
