Joe Capozzi sat down for a one-minute interview with Red Sox outfielder Kevin Millar, a former Marlin who made Bruce Springsteen proud:

JC: How was the bus ride from Fort Myers?

KM: You mean, how was the flight? It was awesome. They got these little planes. I was asked to come on the plane and I went. We did the same thing in Vero Beach when (Curt) Schilling was pitching. You just hope you get one of the big boys on the long trips.

JC: Tell me how a video of a teenage Kevin Millar singing Born in the USA winds up on the Jumbotron at Fenway Park?

KM: A buddy of mine, I hadn't seen him in 10 years, he's an FBI agent in Lubbock, Texas. He got hold of (former manager) Grady Little. They played it inside the clubhouse and everybody started laughing. (John) Burkett took it and made a copy of it and gave it to Fenway Park. We swept Seattle four in a row and it turned into rally material. If it wasn't me, I would have loved it, too. I look like the biggest nerd you ever saw.

JC: Where'd they dig that up?

KM: From my senior year in high school.

JC: Are there any other lost Kevin Millar tapes out there?

KM: No. No more skeletons. Everybody's got them; mine fell out.

JC: Where were you for Game 6 of the World Series?

KM: I was at home in beautiful Beaumont, Texas. Everybody asks me, 'Who was I rooting for?' I say you tell me the Yankees or my old team? I was pulling for the Marlins.

JC: Don't you think you deserve a ring?

KM: I heard they're big enough. I deserve half of Redmond's for putting up with that body in the 10 years I played with him.

JC: Mike Lowell still laughs about the message you left on his cellphone during his at-bat when he hit the home run to win Game 1 of the NLCS.

KM: I told him he was going to go deep while he was batting. I usually rate my messages from A to B to C. That was an A message.

JC: Where's the photo your teammates sent of them posing with Pudge's statue?

KM: Good question. It's probably in my office. I say office like I've got an office. It's my junk room.

JC: What do you think of Josh Beckett dating (model) Leanne Tweeden?

KM: I told him it has nothing to do with the fact that he throws 98 and won the MVP. It's because he's so hot and handsome.

:lol

If there is one Marlin I truly miss it's Millah.

Couldn't field worth a damn but was a clutch hitter and was a cut-up in the locker room....He will truly be missed.
