What's More Dangerous? Pot or Alcohol?

Featured Replies

Out society is very adversley affected by too much junk food eating and too much television watching. Hell I hate how television appeases the lowest common denominator in us and our children instead of helping develop critical thinking skills. But I dont want to live in a country that tells me I cant watch Seinfeld and eat a twinkie.

TV isn't school, ya know.

my view is that yes, alcohol may be more dangerous (then again, it might not...im not an expert), but we should not legalize it. It may help us financially, but it is NOT safe. It is mind-altering, and can be dangerous in cases of DWI, etc. Legalized marijuana would make it more readily available, therefore creating more dangerous situations while high.

I mean, people say that if alcohol is so dangerous why not just make alcohol illegal along with marijuana. Well, in my opinion, making alcohol illegal is MUCH MUCH harder to do than simply keeping things how they are.

im sure the most people will disagree with my stance, and I'll be honest, I haven't read through the 2 pages of stances on the issue.

Marijuana is not addictive. Period. It addictivity has never been proven in a scientific study. If you claim it has, please come forth with said study, or else accept the truth and shut your mouths.

On a sidenote, i have scientific evidence backing my claims, i can post it if necesarry.

Actually, (not a knock on you at all Furman) if the government (basically the FDA) took control over how it was made there are much safer ways to get high through marijuana. I've smoked weed, ate weed and taken THC tablets (papers with the concentrated THC on it) and I can tell you that eating weed in Brownies and taking the THC in tablets aren't dangerous at all (well, unless you hop in a car and mow down twelve little kids, but you can do that drunk or if you're really pissed off).
