i got robbed

Featured Replies

well, about 3 weeks ago some bastard broke into my apartment in the morning while i was in class and stole:

- my laptop

- panasonic cd/radio boom box

- dsl modem

- 6 different colognes valued at $200-300 (i'm guessin it was a guy)

- cash

- random phone cords, splitter stuff, and ethernet cables

- among other things

so i've been offline for a little bit. man, living in the ghetto sucks.

anyways, i decided to count up all of the times i can remember my family being robbed/almost robbed:

- my apartment was just robbed

- our house has been robbed

- my parents' offices have been robbed a couple times

- my parents have witnessed an armed robbery at a restaurant

- my dad has witnessed a bank robbery

- my dad has had his pocket picked

- my dad has had his car stolen

- my dad chased away some guy who was trying to rob my grandma

- my dad has been mugged at gunpoint

it makes me think we must be walking around with giant target signs on our foreheads or something...

how about you guys? have any notable experiences with crooks? feel free to share.

My dad has been mugged at gunpoint too...more than once. It pisses me off they have to pick on him. He has Parkinson's Disease so he looks vulnerable to them since he's not as strong as he used to be anymore, so sadly, they pick on him. I don't wish that kind of experience on anybody. It sucks.

When I was really young living in Palm Bay, Florida, my family went away to visit family right before Christmas and left our presents at our house because we planned on celebrating Christmas at home. When we got back all the presents were gone among a few other things.

Friggin' scumbags. People are stupid a**holes, by robbing everyone loses, but dumbasses just don't get it.

I know this wouldn't work, but it would be a real macho way to die.

A guy walks up to you with a gun and asks for your money. You tell him you have only 50 bucks and if he thinks going to prison for life and getting ass raped for life is worth that 50 bucks, you welcome him to go kill you. Then start running. I say you have a 50/50 shot of living.

actually....

if your parents have full insurance.....

you dont need apt insurance if you are off to school and still sorta kinda a dependant or something.....

because you are a student and its covered under the parents plan.

Twice in HS, someone broken into my locker while I'm in PE. They just stole my money, and left everything else.

My dad's truck(10 wheeler)has gotten stolen overnight but then they found it,he sold that one and got a new one now.

2 of my bike's have gotten stolen,i got jumped by 2 people when they stole my bike about a year ago,the other one got stolen overnight.

My football got stolen(while i was playing raquetball)

My grama's car has gotten stolen, now she uses that thing that lock's the steering wheel up lol.

That's all i remember...

*I don't know why people steal, they will get nowhere in life it's just dumb*

Everyone gets something stolen from you at some point. I'm serious to hear about your loss alkazoid, but at least you weren't robbed at gunpoint.

Plus, sometimes losing that stuff, sometimes, can show you how inisgnifigant some of that stuff in your life is. I don't recommend anyone go out and get robbed, but I empathize with the victims of said robbery. It pisses you off. But, you have to channel that energy in some positve direction (take extra security or join a block watch).

I know the feeling. I've had my old home broken into twice (all the douchebags took were my video game systems each time), and another time I was held up at gunpoint and had a motor scooter taken from me.

Needless to say I'm SOOOOOOO glad I'm not in that neighborhood anymore...
