April 8, 200422 yr Theyre never going to admit to anything until Bush is out of office (looks at calendar) Which means hopefully we'll find out in about 9 months :thumbup
April 8, 200422 yr I still have little confidence on Kerry... I believe the Bush Train is to strong for Kerry to beat... But I'm still optimistic...
April 8, 200422 yr I still have little confidence on Kerry... I believe the Bush Train is to strong for Kerry to beat... But I'm still optimistic... I don't think Kerry is a very good candidate to be honest. I think Bush would be done if the democrats had a strong candidate, but with Kerry, I think it will be a close race in November.
April 8, 200422 yr I think Kerry is being underestimated... He could be a solid, strong and intelligent leader, very much unlike Bush. The problem is that there are a lot of people out there who support a stupid president... Go figure.

April 8, 200422 yr just wait till he picks his running mate....there are many strong candidates out there that would improve Kerry's stance on many issues facing the country including national security. ...Maybe someone with military experience...Wesley Clark?? :thumbup
April 8, 200422 yr kerry has mililary experience...so its not like that is a necessity. Military Experience=Amazingly Overrated. I respect our veterans for dying for our country as much as anybody, trust me, both my grandfathers are veterans as well as one of my uncles. BUT having military experience doesn't make you much more qualified to run the country IMO.
April 8, 200422 yr You're right, he served in vietnam, not in the gulf war but Clarke is a retired General that served in vietnam, cold war, and gulf war.
April 8, 200422 yr BUT having military experience doesn't make you much more qualified to run the country IMO. Best example: Ulysses S. Grant, who took office after the Civil War, and was one of our worst presidents.
April 9, 200422 yr Interesting possible nominees who are intelligence/defense oriented. -Wiliam Cohen who is a very moderate Republican and served as secretary of defense under Clinton. -Bob Kerry, who is on the 9/11 and Nebraska representative could win some battleground states. -Bob Grahan, on the senate intellgence commitee and extremley popular in Florida, a major battleground state.

BUT having military experience doesn't make you much more qualified to run the country IMO. Damn, you're a smart guy for a White Sox fan. But....but....Kerry SNOWBOARDS! and JAMS with his GEE-TAR! Who cares if he is psychologically unable to come up with a strong platform of ideas? And yeah, VP's are important. But we're electing a president here. I daresay only once in history has a Vice-Presidential choice ever put a candidate over the top (Kennedy/Johnson in 1960). They can hurt, but rarely help in a significant way.
April 9, 200422 yr mollusk, I love the Bob Graham idea. I think he'd be terrific. That man is a loon. He records his bowel movements in a journal.

He records his bowel movements in a journal. :shifty Correction he records President Bush loose bowel movements on a journal... I mean "vowel" movements. Now that just doesn't make any sense. Anyway, Graham is retiring this year. He would've gotten like negative votes in the primaries, and I don't think he has enough charisma to do anything besides totter next to Kerry and act like a good Southern boy to get Florida votes. Uh oh...maybe he COULD impact the election. You crazy Floridians. First with your butterfly ballots and now with your figurehead Senators. Time to secede.
