PORT ST. LUCIE ? The manager of the New York Mets' Class A Brooklyn Cyclones farm team resigned Friday, a day after he was arrested in Florida.

Leon Lee, the father of Chicago Cubs' first baseman Derrek Lee, was accused by four women of exposing himself to them in a hotel over the span of two days.

Lee posted $2,000 bond and was released Thursday from St. Lucie County Jail after sheriff's deputies arrested him on two counts of exposure of his sexual organs.

According to the police report, the women told deputies Lee had opened his hotel door at a Holiday Inn in Port St. Lucie while he was naked, exposing himself to them.

The four women claimed at least five instances when Lee exposed himself Monday and Tuesday.

The police report said Lee told officers he had opened his door several times because people were knocking on his door, and said he was wearing clothes or a towel in every instance.

The hotel's front desk received several reports of a man exposing himself, and hotel manager Michael Markham said Lee apologized when he called his room. After another report to the desk, Markham told Lee that he would call the police if he kept receiving complaints. Lee told Markham the police should be called, according to the report.

Lee, 51, turned himself in Thursday after a warrant was issued.

He was hired as manager of the Cyclones in February.

Mets GM Jim Duquette said the team couldn't comment on the situation because it was a legal matter. When asked if the organization asked for Lee's resignation, he responded: "He resigned."

The Mets are looking for a replacement from within the organization.
