April 15, 200422 yr The problem with not striking people out is that it just doesnt work in major leagues...a very very small percentage of low K pitchers survive. Too many balls in play leads to tons of hits, errors, etc, etc. That said if he can maintain near perfect control (Maddux) and keep the ball out of the air he could make it.
April 15, 200422 yr A good outing for Wayne, but you have to be worried that he cant strike anyone out. strikeouts are overrated. especially when you have a stellar defense behind you.
