May 25, 200323 yr This ain't a true firesale like back in '97..Why would you miss D.Lee and it wouldn't be wise to pay Castillo 7 mil either although I would love to see him back but I can live without castillo.Only player I would like back is Lowell but it all depends what kind trades they can pull off.Our pitching staff will most likely remain.Is not like this team has proven to a contender and change can be good if they bring in the right mix of veterans with prospect. :hat

Making a change at first base or acquiring a good starting pitcher for a guy up for free agency is not a firesale. Even trading away a Mike Lowell if the situation is right doesn't qualify. These things are all part of the game. Regardless of what the Miami media scum have to say change is the only constant in baseball. Keep in mind these are the people who castigated Loria et al for not giving Cliffie a $30 million three year deal. What Huizenga (aka the Devil) did, what the Padres did, those are firesales. Let's not get too carried away with the rhetoric.
