The Marlin Man
*cough* send oliver to the pen *cough* put wayne as the 5th starter.... everyone was talking about how bump blew it or how chad fox blew it last night....pish posh... justin wayne went in there and pitched awesome...he has been looking pretty damn good. now, no...i am not saying that oliver sucks or that i dont think he can do the job.. and, no, i'm not saying that wayne has my complete and total trust.. but there is something to think about here.... Is wayne finally ready to be an MLB starter?...... my answer is YES. if wayne continues to look good, and oliver continues to struggle, we may see justin wayne as the defending world champions 5th starter back me up Admin
Ramp
why move Wayne from he role he is getting good at? makes no sense..... just bring someone up if you want a new starter
djm305
Wayne will stay in the PEN, we need a reliable arm in the PEN. I would rather have a shakey starter with a SOLID releiver than can stop the bleeding and give our offense a chance. What's the point in starting Wayne, ok so he keeps us in the game then who do we turn to? Also, when AJ comes back you will have to send him back to the PEN. No, I think it's best that he gets acustomed to that role int he PEN he will be much more valuable there.
Guest FishFanInPA
Anyone who suggests Tejera, deserves to hot pokers stuck to their nether regions.
FreshFish
I'm in agreement that Wayne should stay at the pen. There are some pitchers that have struggled as starters and has excelled in the pen. Greves and Gagne to name a couple. . .
orisha
well, tejera held his own as a starter and never gave up 5 home runs.
Das Texan
Look here is the bottom line. This team cannot survive until mid June with Darren Oliver in the rotation. Either make Wayne a starter again...because he has done it throughout his career. Or call up one of your arms in the minors.

Reality check we are leading the division by 2 games thus far and have done fine till now.

There will be times when we struggle against other teams aside from the Braves and when our other 4 starters struggle.

Why move Wayne from a spot he's actually getting the job done at to a spot he has struggled at his whole Major League Career? Though he'd probably be better than Oliver. Das Texan
fine then call up an arm. i have no problem with that.
nc marlin
There's not an arm ready to be called up who can do any better than Oliver as far as I'm concerned.
minus_13
I said it two weeks ago, and I'll say it again: I like Wayne starting... he's a talent that can't go wasted... he could be a real boost. But it would leave a hole in the pen...
