i think oli would make a decent long reliever. i would send oli to the pen and let justin wayne start. granted, justin wasnt all that great as a starter the last 2 years but thats no reason to believe he will be bad this year... and and he has great numbers as a reliever so far! lets see what the kid can do!

I do not think moving Wayne to the starting rotation is a good move. He has enjoyed success in the bullpen and if he fails as a starter it might hurt his confidence overall and then he may not be as effective anymore even in the bullpen. I think you have to let wayne stay in the PEN where he is comfortable. At this point he is the only reliable releiver I trust to setup for Benitez. We need at least 1 other SOLID releiver aside from Benitez in the bullpen.

1) bring Oliver to the pen, keep Wayne there as well...

 

2) call up Hutchinson, put him in the 5th role

Give it a rest will you.... Everyone knows Darren Oliver has struggled, it doesn't take a genius to notice that. You post it everytime as if we don't already know. We are stuck with him until they decide to do something so if your going to keep on with these threads all you are going to do is piss people off.

i thought the same way about pavano last year and he turned out fine......

 

oliver had a bad month am I the only one on this board that thinks he can turn it around.....

 

and we didnt lose cuz Oliver gave up 6 runs 5 earned..... we lost cuz Wayne couldnt hold the lead.......

 

now if oliver continues to struggle than i say we look at many options to see who the 5th starter should be......

 

i have no problem with philieps in the rotation.....
