A Question About Vladimir Nunez

Featured Replies

Since he was sent down to the minors he has done horrible, just the same way he did in the majors.

And his counterparts that were brought up for him have both posted era's under 2.00. Them being levrault and borland

If he cant be produce in the majors and he isnt producing now in the minors.

is his career dead? i honestly think his career with the marlins is over, unless of a sudden injury by a bullpen pitcher (knock on wood)

what do you guys think of the status of his current major league career?

will he ever bounce back?

*checks crystal ball*

his career with Marlins is done

i wish him the best of luck in the future

:p

He still has a chance but our Pitching Coach needs to spend time working on his Arm angles and his Mechanics since he has had problems there. He will bounce back up once he fixes his fault....

Like I said Vald has been very reliable reliever in the past and I think he was more consistent pitcher out bullpen in previous years before this year disaster.Former pitching coach was owrking on his mechanics and actually made it worst.Vlad will get his act together and look for him to get back to MLB by the start of next season.

Nunez, in a starting appearance yesterday, pitched 5 no hit shutout innings in AAA.

Don't be suprised to see him called up during this homestand!!!!!!!

I hope he's gone for good. I can't recall another reliever getting so many oppurtunities and just falling off a cliff every time.

Remember, he was the heir-apparent after the six-fingered wonder got shopped with Clement to the Cubbies. And, of course, he fell on his face and lost the job.

Borland and Levy have not only outstandingly exceeded any reasonable expectations, they also have shown just how much of a non-issue Nunez has become.

People forgot so quickly. He was probably our most effective reliever for most of last season. I'm very happy with Borland, Alvarez, Phelps, and Levy but Vlad has been a good pitcher for us. Maybe hes fone, but I wouldn't write him off just yet.

Nunez was NOT the heir apparent for Alfonseca. That was Looper.

Nunez did best when he was in the long relief role pitching primarily in the sixth and seventh innings.

The pitcher that has been given the most chances, always proving to be a disaster ultimately is Armando Almanza.

Look for him to be the next reliever sent down to get his head on straight if Nunez continues pitching well...but remember this is really his first effective outing...the rest stunk.
