It really does make a big difference. It's not like Pudge just started sucking after 10 years, and Preston overnighted himself into a great hitter. The lineup matters. Well, our line-up (statistically) isn't too shabby itself... 5th in the NL in HR and third in Avg. sounds good to me...

What is he, 26yrs old? He still has so many big years left. He already is at 200 career HR. He will easily hit 30 a year if healthy for the next 10 years. If he "only" hits 30 on the dot for the next 10 years, he still will be at 500 career HR and a million GGs. Can you say Hall Of Famer?

June 5, 200323 yr Actually no CF does in the NL since Adruw is a lock to win it ever year. Although you may be right, Edmunds won it last year... Dont forget that when Griffey is healthy he is one of the best in CF.

June 6, 200323 yr oh and Preston doesnt play GG defense he makes the wrong jumps at the ball constantly.... because of his speed, he can make up for the miscues, but i dont think he is that wonderful on D In all fairness, Juan Pierre does not play GG defense either. Actually no CF does in the NL since Adruw is a lock to win it ever year. But really, he is no worse than Pierre, in my opion, defensively. What he lacks in ball judgement he makes up in arm strength. I am not saying he has a cannon, but compared to Pierre's bebe gun out there in CF, Preston has a rocket. off topic- sense i am from around STL lets not forget Jimmy Ed.
