I'll tell you what the problem is. When Pudge is hitting 3rd and Lee 4th (and thank god Lowell finally knocked him out of the cleanup spot) when they're struggling like this, they tend to erase Pierre and Castillo. The rabbits can get on base all they want, steal bases, whatever. But if the middle of the order isn't driving them in their hits are wasted. Lowell and Alex and Encarnacion are the ones driving in runs and slugging homers and doubles. You should adjust the lineup accordingly. I'm not suggesting bat Lee and Pudge 7th and 8th, but I wouldn't mind seeing Alex moved up in the order for a few games. Maybe 3rd in the order. Oh I forgot, Pudge will start whining again to the coach about that being "his spot"... I agree 100%.
