May 30, 200422 yr The Teal Empire grows...I can feel it! BREWHAHAHAHA Over .500 and no sight of Milwaukee yet!
May 30, 200422 yr Nice to see us get a 2 game lead. Hopefully the Braves will continue to be the spoilers like they did with us. Another tidbit...we are 9 games over .500 for the first time this year!
May 30, 200422 yr I saw the Phillies/Braves game on FOX earlier. It pained me to root for Atlanta in any way but damn was I happy when they busted it open. Haven't we spent more time this year in first place than we have in the rest of the club's entire existence? We ROCK the eastern division!! 14-6
May 30, 200422 yr To those that saw the Phils-Braves game today (and btw I rooted against Philly not for Atlanta :hat ), did you here when Tim was talking about Pat Burrell being hot? I couldn't help but laugh the whole time.

I couldn't help but laugh the whole time. Lol, and that stupid horse that kept shaking its head..it was so bad.... But yeah...and when he says "hot" he means, not in a hot hitting streak, he means, as in Hot(sizzle!) you sexay beast...
May 30, 200422 yr Yeah, I didn't know whether to lose my lunch or to laugh at it all. I chose the latter.
May 30, 200422 yr As much as I hate the Phillies, I'd like to see Atlanta start to get humbled. They've actually moved ahead of the Mets in the standings. Personally, as long as we keep winning, I could care less about what the Phillies or Braves do, but the Braves, at least right now, trouble me a little more than the Phillies...

I just can't see that team being better than .500...they just do not seem like they have the right stuff to be able to do that, but then again you never know is baseball so as long as the marlins keep winning all is good.
May 30, 200422 yr Yeah, I was at the Phillies game yesterday and I was thinking that it's tough rooting for Atlanta because I don't want them hanging around. I almost wanted Philly to win to push the Braves back because I know we can take the Phils. Atlanta just has that winning mentality despite their lack of talent. BTW, Padilla = 15 day DL
May 30, 200422 yr Well if we win today and atlanta wins, we would then be 3 up on the phillies and still be 4 up on atlanta. Go marlins, and braves (for only today)
May 30, 200422 yr I would like to quote a Phillies fans just 15 days ago: After crushing Colorado today, the Phillies are looking more and more like that team that was destined to run away with the division. Personally, it's great to see the Phillies be able to do this even with Wagner on the DL, Polanco on the DL, and Thome with a hurt finger. Rollins is actually hitting, plus playing a lot more small ball, Burrell has been hitting clutch the entire season, 4th in the league I believe in RBIs, and Bobby Abreu, after an abysmal start has been true to form lately, killing the ball and being the offensive force the Phillies know he is. Along with that, Marlon Byrd is pulling it together as well becoming more solid in the line-up. Playoffs here we come, for the first time in a long time, I can feel it, even though it's really early. And here we are today 2 games on top of them again. Isn't baseball wonderful
