Kruk on Baseball Tonight.

Featured Replies

He was talking about the Marlins pitching staff (he couldn't remember all their names he named the pitchers and then he forgot PENNY so he says..that other guy, LOL). But he did give them all Props he said PAvano was great and that he would be a #2 starter on any other team. He says with a staff that has PAvano as their #4 starter they will win the division

great to hear from that kruk. was pretty funny how he drew a blank on naming our starters lol

well our rotation is one of the best in the NL. Beckett hasnt stepped up since the beggining of the season. Its mainly been Penny, Pavano that have been doing the job and Willis has been mainly good this season.

We have a big chance of winning this division, this will be our first time to do so, i believe.

Our pitching has been great, i already mentioned the Starters now to the bullpen. The Bullpen has really struggled, but some guys have done nice jobs like Perisho, Borland and Benitez. I give them props for helping our struggling bullpen.

Phelps?

The back end of our pen is serviceable to say the least. Borland has been fantastic, Perisho all that we asked for and way more, and we all know what Benitez has been doing. If the starters do their part and get a quality start everytime, the lack of depth in the pen doesn't show itself. But it's when they get run from games early that we encounter problems. Thankfully we have a nice 4 game mini-QS streak going, and looking for Josh to keep that going tomorrow for the sweep.

I think we should only put Borland, Perisho and Benitez to relieve.

All of our Starters are giving us 7 Innings or more.

8-2 in our last 10... nice to see us back on track.

I have been saying all along, our pitching is going to be fine. Sure, we will struggle from time to time, but every team does. The key is to sqash those struggles early. As long as our pitching holds up, our offense will do enough to win games.
