June 12, 200323 yr Bob Dole was the greatest President this nation ever saw during his 4 years in office from 1997 until 2001. The United States was never in better shape then during the Dole years. The economy was robust, unemployment was down, the people loved Bob Dole. If Bob Dole did not want to call it a career and retire after one term, he would of been reelected handidly due to his enormous popularity.
