Anyways, some of my friends at the white sox fan site I visit came up with some funny potential headlines for the papers here tomorrow. The setup: The Cubs won 12-1 today at Pittsburgh to take 1 game of 4 in the series and wrap up a stellar 1-5 road trip. :lol The Sox won 12-2 today at the Cell against Anaheim. The Sox have beaten Texas and Anaheim 2 of 3 each in their last 2 series. Some of my favorite headlines: Cubs ones: "Cubs storm into 4th place!" "Cubs show heart of champion, win series finale" "Back on track, Cubs pound hapless Pirates" "Salvaging the series: Baker and Cubs avoid sweep in dramatic fashion" "CUBS ONLY ONE GAME BACK! of houston, 2.5 back of cincinnati following win at Pittsburgh" "Cubs snap streak in typical fashion, pound Pirates in rout of the century" Sox ones: "Only 20,000 see Sox take advantage of injury depleted Angels" "Angels, like Cubs, depleted by injuries, only score 2 runs in loss" "Sox beat Angels, win 2 of 3 against team of backups" "Sox pummel God's Messangers" "Sox beat depleted Angels, stay only 2 games ahead of injury ridden Twins" Can't you all tell us Sox fans love the Chicago media?? :lol
