May 31, 200422 yr Who do you guys think should be our setup guy? Do you guys think Borland is still the man? Is it best to just use a Combination of Borland/Perisho? Or maybe just make Perisho the fulltime Setup guy? Borland had a bad game yesterday but overall he has been pretty solid. Thoughts?
May 31, 200422 yr Borland and Fox when they get back. Perisho is a lefty specialist, not a setup man. Though a combination of both wouldn't make me mad.
May 31, 200422 yr We don't have a true set-up man right now as far as I'm concerned. Fox isn't going to be back until at least August I believe, and it's a whole that I think should be filled at the trade deadline.
May 31, 200422 yr I think there will be some mixing and matching, but Borland could get the bulk of the work, maybe working 2/3 and then Perisho working 1/3 sometimes.
May 31, 200422 yr Rosenthal said if Howard does well he can stay in Majors and be the new setup guy because he pitches like Fox.
May 31, 200422 yr i have absolutely no clue who should be our setup man perisho isn't very good against righties borland is just not that good crazy thought:somehow get LaTrot Hawkins (yes, i know this is absurd and impossible)
