Passion: I have a banner for you

Featured Replies

I always laugh at his banner that says "The Future" because the Red Sox system is completely devoid of any big time prospects. Hanley Ramirez is solid but that's about it.

This one is definitely better.

I like Abe Alvarez. :thumbup

And the catcher, Kelly Shoppach.

They're solid.

Oh, and most of those players won't be the "future" of the Sox anyway they'll be the "future" of another small market team since that's where all the Sox' and Yankees' prospects go these days.

New Motto For Red Sox In 2004

Props to my brother.

So funny, I got one for you Soriano..

NC Marlin cut me some slack....the reason I made the banner is because I have met most of those players and actually two of those guys are already on the Red Sox team right now and one could be called up soon.

So shut your mouth until you know what you are talking about.

Never said it was all that and a bag of chips but those players are solid and they are good guys. Maybe if you would stop being an ass you would realize why I made it.

Thanks.

Take it easy man. I've got no problems with the sig, the players within, or you, I just enjoy making fun of the fact that the Sox' and Yankees' systems suck.

The argument really is ridiculous because of the type of team the Red Sox have right now. They are a high payroll team who's focus is winning now, and they are not as consumed with players that wont play for two or three years as smaller market and worse teams are.

The Sox have the luxury, like the yankees, of being able to take on alot of sallery and acquiring their players.

Will this someday bite us in the @$$? Im sure it will, but for the time being the prospects dont mean as much and dont have to be as top notch as those on the Tigers, Padres, Pirates, and Brewers.

Yeah, and the whole strategy of focusing on winning right now has really been paying dividends for the Sox.

I hear they are building a new addition onto Fenway to house all those WS trophies. I also hear that all the trophies are going to be guarded by unicorns and everyone who visits will get a free ride on a Pegasus horse.

Again, funny. We went to the championship game last year and are a front runner for the title while finding ourselves two games back without two of our best players. This is Theo's second year I think he has done darn well in that short of time.

Don't talk too much smack, although it is so easy to when you are on top.

Winning 2 titles in your first 11 years does spoil you I guess

Of course it would, and I dont blame you guys.

I just dont understand the animosity towards the Sox. :confused What have we done the last 90 years....been the butt of everyones jokes... :lol

I'm with ya Passion...although the last time my team won a world series was when I was one years old. a 20 year drought is better than a 100 year drought.

No doubt, but unlike some of the bandwagoners on this board, I will stick with my team until I am put into the ground..... :thumbup
