Darius Miles encounter with Police

Trail Blazers' Darius Miles caught up in crime sweep

EAST ST. LOUIS, ILLINOIS - It appears Trail Blazers Darius Miles is hanging out with the wrong crowd.

Miles, who is now a free agent, is from East St. Louis, Illinois.

He was headed to a graduation last night but not before police forced him to the ground.

Miles was caught up in a crime sweep, but was not charged or arrested.

However, Miles got to see firsthand how serious the East St. Louis Police Department is getting about getting drugs out of their community.

One of Miles' friends was arrested on drug charges, and another was booked after he threw a loaded gun out of the car.

Miles was allowed to continue on to a high school graduation.

The Trailblazers stand by Miles, saying he did not do anything wrong.

The Blazers acquired Miles in January from the Cleveland Cavaliers.

If you play for the Jailblazers, you're bound to get in trouble with the law.

He's stupid to go back to East St. Louis.

I've been there numerous times and it is not the place you want to hang out.

There is nothing there but a courthouse, strip joints, run-down houses, and public housing.

Definitely Ghettoville, USA.

East St. Louis makes Chicago's West Side look like The Hamptons and Gary, Indiana look like Beverly Hills, which is saying something.

East St. Louis may be the worst city in the country, just not a smart place to be, I have no idea why Miles would go back there.

Miles is not very smart.

not on teh court, not off the court.

But he's a great actor.....

:plain

I've neva been there but they way yuou guys make it sound its like it must be the deepside or sunland of STL......

This is really no biggie for DMiles, he wasn't charged or arrested so he can go on with his life.

I can understand that he wanted to go back to his neighborhood but he's an idiot for riding with his little druggie friends.

I saw the tape yesterday and thought it was great. Miles needs to wake up. He doesn't need to be back in E STL.

What a way to boost your stock before Free Agency!

Yeah, as if sleeping through a practice and never living up to the hype weren't enough.

Yeah, as if sleeping through a practice and never living up to the hype weren't enough. True that.

He always has the Perfect Score 2 to fall back on...

Miles is not very smart.

Or IN court :D . no he's not going to court, is he?

Or IN court :D . no he's not going to court, is he? It was a joke.
