June 6, 200422 yr Looking ahead to the next series, will Beckett get the start on Thursday against the Indians.....in place of Phelps? I'll say yes, as it will be a good warm up before he would face the division leading White Sox at home.
June 6, 200422 yr Beckett was placed on the 15-day DL on May 30, so he is not eleigible to come off the DL until June 15.

Phelps, Penny, and Willis against the Tigers..... Then we'll see where Jack wants to slot Beckett, but it could be Burnett, Pavano and then Beckett against the White Sox
June 6, 200422 yr Chances are Penny starts on normal rest on Friday, and Phelps pitches Saturday. At least according to Len and Tommy.
June 6, 200422 yr What I want to know is, is Beckett healthy to pitch now? Or is his blister still bothering him - which would shut him up and everyone else who secondguessed the Marlins FO.
