D Lee officialy on Fire

Featured Replies

When his streak ends, its will probably end with a strikeout.

Yeah he sucks. lol just because hes not on the Marlins anymore...

:)

I hated it when he was on the Marlins and he would strike out so much

ive noticed that Lee has done so much better as a Cub than as a Marlin.....wonder why?

well he didnt have any pressure when he was on the Marlins...

and he has more pressure now that hes on the Cubs

because the Cubs are very eager to win the WS...

So much better? Geez, he's hitting like .285 and is on fire. So he'll drop down to .270 or so, definitley. And he has a lack of power numbers, especially for playing in Wrigley.

so he is doing better w/pressure? WTF?

yup....I have no clue why...

maybe he has just become a better hitter....

maybe he has just become a better hitter.... What pressure? It's June!

marlin players dont have any pressure bc during the games the stadium is empty

but the cubs stadium is always full. so if he does bad he could get booed

while if he did bad on the marlins at the pro, barely anyone would know.

D Lee chokes under pressure....

but i can never forget his double down the LF line in the n.l. champ. series

when the marlins were down 3-1, his double tied it and made it 3-3

than he scored.....etc. and the bartman thing hap.....

and the cubs lost, and the cubs fans started crying like babbies....etc.

i can never forget that.

D Lee chokes under pressure....

no more than Juan Encarnacion, Lowell, Castillo, etc. last 2 seasons (don't feel like checking stats....so someone else can prove me wrong).

Lee was highly underrated and one of my favorite Marlins.

:plain and Bartman occured before DLee's double

remember Castillo was hitting

I don't see how he is under any more pressure as cubs when he is sorrounded by a more talented lineup which wasn't the case as a Marlins.

He will go down to earth to his usual .265-.275 average and of course his RISP will be non existance by end of the year.

derrek lee did not perform when it counted last year. he had one hit in a pressure situation last year and that was it

and if you look at his stats this year, his avg is better but his K/BB ratio is up

if you include the money factor, trading him was a good idea

:plain yup pretty much

all the other AB's in which i remember him hitting in he struck out... :lol

he's only hitting 285 with 8 bombs and 39 rbi's, but this is all due to him having a super june so far..... i say when june ends he will be the same d.lee we all know and love... u the guy that has bases loaded with nobody out and strikes out that d.lee that couldnt hit anything with runners on scoring postion......

but hits a grand slam in a 11-0 game...... that guy!!!!!!!

i know exactly what you mean...

he never gets a hit when it counts but when it dosent matter and were blowing a team out he would always do good

IMO lee has a home run swing, i think he tries hitting a home run too many times and thats why he strikes out a lot

ive noticed that he dosent really dosent get that many singles, when he gets hits a lot of times they are for extra bases...

he kinda reminds me a little of preston wilson because they both strike out a lot of times and when they hit a home run they crush it!

Bill Robinson had said many, many times that he never wanted Lee to change his swing or the way he hit becaue he was killer on the road and it was always a long out at home. It worked for him didn't it? Super unclutch but 31 HR's and 92 RBI's ain't too bad.
