June 19, 200422 yr The Magic also said they would want Artest & Harrington from Indiana for T-Mac. That's some pretty big talent for just one guy. The Heat would have to give up a lot for T-Mac, and I don't really think it's worth it.
June 19, 200422 yr Damn the Magic are asking for a lot. Houston and Phoenix would basically be trading their whole team away for this guy.
June 19, 200422 yr T-Mac worries me because of his back and attitude but i was the same guy that didnt want Riles signing Odom because of his past so i wont say anything. i will say that if we do get T-Mac but cant fill the middle the most we could be are the 2001 and 2002 Nets: the eastern conference title would be the ceiling.
June 19, 200422 yr this trade makes sense and would help out the heat so much think about it. wed be getting one of the best players on earth, and (according to the rumors) all we have to give up is caron and grant (prob wouldnt start next year anyways). and, believe it or not, this trade makes financial sense for the heat. look at the salaries: season...t-macs salary, grant and carons combined salary 04-05...14.5, 15.2 05-06...15.7, 16.9...NOTE: t-mac can opt out, heat has option on butlers contract 06-07...16.9, 18.8...NOTE: the qualifying offer for butler would be about 3.3 million in other words, talent wise this makes sense, financially this makes sense. now all we have to do is fool orlando into doing it
June 19, 200422 yr now all we have to do is fool orlando into doing it even if we would wanna do this trade that statement is a lot easier said than done if teams like houston or phoenix would really give up their core like Stoudamire, Marion, Francis, Mobley, etc....then the Magic would never take up miamis offer if they could get so much more from these other teams.
June 19, 200422 yr i really think a team like a phoenix that is in a rebuilding phase prob would not go for a trade that involves a core player, bc t-mac will be a FA next year houston seems like a good candidate for t-mac because theyre preparing to win now, not later (remember: stevies contract = t-macs contract)

Stevie Plays like a 2 guard which is he always looks to shoot first instead of running the offense and making sure everyone is involved. I think as of right now the Rockets are probably in the best position to acquire T Mac because McGrady can play the 2 where Cuttino Played, VG likes his 3 to be more of a defensive player, they dont really need Cato and his huge salary and as I said before he likes a passing pg.
June 20, 200422 yr Author Tracy Mcgrady has announced (from what i hear on espnnews) that he expects him to be traded Soon. He even gave a time period. Right After thursdays Draft... Interesting.
