I think Conine's shoulder injury is more than reported. At best, I see Niner replacing Cordero as back-up OF and 1B. (Cordero is months away including AAA rehab').

Before the break, I see us buying a good and healthy LF.

Meantime, many important weeks, we need to fill LF.

Why not Easley?

Speed, good arm, athletic and baseball moxie.

And A DECENT STICK.

I've been hoping McKeon would try Easley out in left. I don't think Conine needs to benched but it just allows one more position for Easley the Super-Sub with the Super Bat to play.

I was just looking at some stats and Easley's batting 3/21 and 0 walks this week and .229 and 2 walks this month. Is he just tired or has he come back down to earth? :confused

We don't need any other OF, and I can assure you that we won't get one! We have Nunez and Easley, and ex All Star, on the bench. If Conine can only play a couple of games a week, we have more than enough talent to sub for him.

I don't know. I think the club will atleast bring someone cheap in. Having GOAWAYNUNEZ as our 4th OF isn't ideal.

Nunez will probably be gone soon. Everyone on our bench has done something for us this year except GIDPNunez. Everyone has been clutch at one point. Just like last years bench.

 

At first I was all for giving him a couple starts. Especially after that kickass ST. But he's not opening the door when Mr. Opportunity is knockin'.
