Bakler signed with the Marlins straight out of high school. The Zane Trace graduate has been given the opportunity ot regain amateur status by sitting out one year at the University of Rio Grande. Baker is enrolled for the fall semester at the NAIA school. He is now participating in a college wooden bat league in Columbus for the summer.
