June 22, 200422 yr Author My freshman year stunts include: 1) Urinating in an elevator after a friend kept pressing all the buttons before our floor 2) leaving an hour later of a math exam to catch a Marlins game (test which I failed :lol ) 3) Left a piece of s*** in front of my neighbor's door 4) Passed out, I hid in a tub and "surprised" ladies who were using the "facilities"... 5) Allowed my roomie to tie me up to my neighbor with tape and throw us for over 30 minutes outside our dorm... 6) Vandalized a friend's room during "reading days" 7) And finally, but not as crazy, left to NY for game 6 of the WS after my parents were here in Philly for Parent's weekend...first time they visit me and I leave! here's some pics for your enjoyment....
June 22, 200422 yr Author We urinated in the sinks of the girls bathroom at a Penn Dorm and had a girl walk in on us as far as actual pranks not as many ... had quite a few wild nights though, trips to AC, living in London some messing with friends all in all good times you go/went to Penn or something? June 22, 200422 yr Nope ... if i went to penn the story wouldn't be as good I'm an alumnus from your friendly neighbor to the north i'd often intermingle with the ivies at Cavs, MadMex or New Deck .... occasionally we'd buzz by smokes just to start some trouble That particular night we walked down to your Spring Fling ... bought some 40s with a fake ID at some pizza joint down there ... then some penn student invited us back for vodka .. we hung out in his dorm room for a while ... he took two fully clothed showers and said he had somewhere to go and left us in his room (insane when you think about it .. never had met the guy) anyhow we continued to drink, couldn't find the mens bathroom so we used what was available ... since it was the girls bathroom, might as well use the sink we were able to convince one of my buddies it wasn't a good idea to bang on doors and ask the penn girls what there thoughts on fornication were on the way out of the dorms we were in the courtyard of the housing and my friend (used loosely) starts with the penn sucks chants ... some penn students took offense and said he sucked ... he then drops 'em and tells the students he has something for them to suck we break the scene and end up at the tail end of some rave ..... basically a bunch of losers there and reaffirmation that it's a scene I want no part of .. although a couple girls said that I had a non threating positive vibe to me (for what it's worth) ended up making the stroll back up 34th st at about 6:30 in the morning good time all around however most of my good college stories revolve around "when bums attack"

Post your bum stories....I have a friend (my neighbor, featured in the photo) who was particularly fond of them. He invited a heroin addict, female bum to sleep in his bed for a night. One other night, he got so drunk that he got lost and ended up sleeping in a dumpster in Drexel....LOL, that guy is crazy.
June 22, 200422 yr dont exactlyknow what a reading day is 'Reading Day' is the day in between when classes end and exams start where there is nothing to do but party. Probably could study but where's the fun in that.

June 22, 200422 yr PR - I graduated Drexel in '02, started in '97 so some of my stories you may not remember basically I'm appreciative of the practical education and experiences you can have at drexel, and hate the place for screwing their students at every turn some crazy stories from having an urban campus .. my freshman year there was a shooting on penn's campus .. a HS basketball game was being played at the palestra, this spilled out into the street on 34th and chestnut ... the guys fired to the west and put bullets in the blue building there .. i was in the dining hall across the street .. but you all got the bad press initially ... drexel got the bad PR when we cancelled the HS all star game scheduled for our gym there are so many bums on our campus we know all by name ... we always asked them why they would hang out at drexel when penn students had more $$$ there was the FU bum (aka the angry white bum) who would come up to you and give you some free advice and then want money ... no matter if you gave him cash or not he'd swear at you ... one frat would call him up on the porch and kick him in the "junk" ... another sniped him with a BB Gun then there was sleeping on my stoop bum .. i spent the last two years at 38th where lancaster, race and bering all collide, but presbytarian and Scooters ... there was a dude who'd always be sleeping on my steps .. we'd have to kick him off to get to class also the guys living next to me dealt, so on a few occasions we'd have crack vials on our steps finally, since our steps were set in people would use it as a bathroom after they left the bar my roomate and I are huge buffett fans, so we turned his Dodge Ram into a shark ... when we were doing the painting "Chili Willie from North Philly" introduced himself .. 86 gold gloves, would of been the next champ if he didn't get shot .. showed us the bullett holes and everything .. we became known as "sharkman" in the vagrant community .. he'd hang out all the time after the sixers won the east we were shooting fireworks off in the street and from our roof .. then we went to the street to hang and drink ... a couple bums were arguing .. i made a sarcastic comment and the bum thought I called him out .. almost a very bad situation my favorite guy was "crazy laughing guy" .. not so much a bum, but a lunatic ... white dude ... we walked out of our apartment one day and he just laughed hysterically at us .. we missed the joke once he was walking up lancaster screaming "captain kangaroo?! you're captain jerkoff .... you're all a bunch of f****ng n***s ..... i seriously thought he was going to get us all killed another time he was singing the wall, so my roomate goes "pink floyd, alright" ... his response "f-you man, that's me" once he asked me to help him with the name of a band .. he tried singing the chorus before induldging to me that it was some colored band that the girls like had a lot of fun at drexel, but it's definitely a different kind of world I had two shooting happen across the street from where I lived, our bookstore was robbed 3 times in two years, i was in a nightclass in our computer lab and some dude came off the street and attacked a girl as students took the guy down and security did nothing upsets me that they have the place looking better now .. actually have females on campus (was over 70% male when I was there) .. but all told I miss my slice of ghetto paradise a little

There's a lot of new restaurants, bars, shops, etc. There's even some new green areas, and Penn is now buying some terrains surrounding 30th street station (post office terrains), so the area will be even better in 5-7 years! A lot of people had warned me of what you just told me, about how bad and dirty the area was, but it's changed a lot. There's been some f***ed up s*** happening here, as always, but nothing you wouldn't see elsewhere.
June 22, 200422 yr penn was always a lot nicer ... drexel is improving, tearing up a lot of concrete and laying grass ... the apartments on 31st and market should be nice and the post office annex was good move by the universities has penn ever finished that building on 38th street? .. i think it was off spruce ... they were working on it for at least 6 years .. no idea what it should be i also lived by the art museum for a while (park towne apts) which was a blast .. just too long of a walk to campus hope you're doing well there ... watch the beer, cheesesteaks and other philly goodies ... i put on 70 lbs in my 5 years there (it's all gone now, but yuck) here are some photos of the truck ... imagine that rolling through west philly This is me with it A good side view the girls love the truck and finally we made the bigscreen at the camden show .. here is the guy taping us .. you can see the flury of activity going on .. really good time ... the quintessential college road trip (cut tragically short by terrorists ........)
June 22, 200422 yr hehe.... we took the little chicken flavored powder packets from Ramen (sp? those noddle soup things) and went into the girls bathroom in our dorm...unscrewed the shower heads and poured the powder in there haha, next morning several girls came out of the bathroom pissed cause they smelled like chicken... lol also..a couple of my friends went away for a rugby tourney...so we somehow got a key to their room and filled their ENITRE room with crumpled newspaper..... I mean the ENTIRE ROOM...from the ground up....all the way to the cieling!! it was freaking hilarious to see their faces

It was recently opened fall 2002, and they also built a convention center right across from it, although I'm not sure if that was there when you were here. JMHH is definitely new, though.

June 22, 200422 yr headquarterd in Bala Cynwyd (city line ave right off 76) ... down the street from st. joes they have their nasdaq desk, private placements, fixed income, index baskets, stat arbitrage, etc all out of there they also trade on the PHLX, CBOE, NYSE, PCST & CME there are also offices scattered across the world Basically you can work in suburban philly, downtown philly, new york, chicago, san fran, bostons, dublin or sydney I worked in the main office for my last two years of school catered breakfast and lunches daily, jeans to work and in the summers shorts on friday, tons of perks, great work environment a great place to be if you have interest in the markets ... they used to sponsor the halfcourt shot at UP basketball games (not sure if they still do though)
June 22, 200422 yr Author My personal best stunt was zapping the dean of he school of music at SUNY Potsdam with a water balloon. That got the campus police into quite a tizzy...natch I never got caught. :thumbup They put up suvillance camers and were looking for the "perps" for several weeks after that one. :lol Another guy in the dorm was equally bold - he stole a light bar from the top of one of the campus police cruisers. Took him about a month to do it. He figured out their routine and patrol schedules and how long they'd be in particular buildings. When they'd go in, he'd zip out with a wrench and take a turn on a bolt or two. At the end of the month, he'd gotten all the bolts loose enough so it was just kinda resting ontop of the car...and then it was gone :lol That really had'em whipped into a frenzy - they were searching dorm rooms all over the campus looking for that thing. But it had been quicky disassembled and stashed out in the cow pastures that surrounded the campus so there was nothing to be found amazing...haha
June 23, 200422 yr woah ... those are pretty good the worst thing I did was to flip the car of one of my teachers and took a few pics with it upside down with my friends ... i never really did go to school so i dont have many stories, I do have roadtrip/touring stories
