June 25, 200422 yr I haven't been online in a while due to computer problems, and I know you all have missed me so very much, but I need to vent. Badly. 1) Mike Hampton was 1-7. ONE AND SEVEN. HOW DOES AN ACE LOSE TO SOMEONE WHO IS ONE and SEVEN!?!?!? 2) The meat of our order needs to start hitting. Yes, so does everyone else, but no line-up can survive without its big dogs, and ours aren't doing s***. It seems like everytime I watch a game, Miguel strikes out twice. Mike looks as lost as Ramon Castro right now. Choi... I don't know. If one, two, or hopefully all three of those guys can get it going, we can start knocking in more runs. 3) The bullpen still sucks, even with Koch. Sure, he's the hard thrower we asked for, but the guy has no command at all. Maybe I need to give it a little more time, but I don't think that deal solved anything. 4) Jeff Conine needs to sit. The guy just isn't performing. That's the bottom line. That's why I like the thought of Mackowiack (sp), because nobody on our roster is QUITE good enough to be a full-time or even platoon starter. 5) You may not realize it now, but if Wil Cordero can come back sometime soon and be healthy, that's a BIG addition to this team. _____________________________________________ You may speak.
June 25, 200422 yr IMO: I think the team is not performing like they should but I know that it will change. Not every team is perfect. Miggy is starting to hit. Were going to be okay. And about Hampton, he is a good pitcher like D-train you have your good days and bad. Hampton had an okay game and D-Train didn't. If you look around the majors mostly all the bullpens are shakey. It's just how it is. :thumbup IMO: SORRY BUT..... I think people should stop complaining about the Marlins, How do you know that they are not trying. Sometimes people have bad days. We won the World Series Last year, how many Championships do you want? We are in 1st place. :thumbup :thumbup geez............ this is really not like me, I am a very quiet person. HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY AND GO FISH!
June 25, 200422 yr Conine had a good game I dont know what you are b***hing about Im pretty sure he was 2 for 4 with a walk Night before he had a 3 run jack Leave the guy alone
June 25, 200422 yr Author Conine had a good game I dont know what you are b***hing about Im pretty sure he was 2 for 4 with a walk Night before he had a 3 run jack Leave the guy alone Because two games make a season? The guy has a mediocre average, a bad on-base, no homers, no RBI... Jeff Conine is doing NOTHING to prove he should be a full-time starter.

Man, that entire post hit the nail right on the head. I guess even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.... :lol
June 25, 200422 yr WC is right, I mean we're improving taking 2 wins from the Braves but we still haven't been able to play good on a consistent level. It's always lose some, then win some, then go back to slumping, etc. That's not how you win a playoff berth, we gotta start getting it going. Yeah, it's too bad about Cordero and then we got Beckett out. Err it sucks. But what can ya do, every team goes through injury and slumps but the teams that make it through are the ones that are successful.

June 25, 200422 yr 1. Hampton is a Major League Pitcher who can beat any team on any day. He still gave up four runs, usually that's decent off a starter. 2.Conine just has had over 10 seasons of quality play to back him up. He is struggling terribly, give him another few weeks then see where to go. The average is there, he just needs to pick up some RBIs. 3. Yes Marlins need another guy for the bullpen. Problems are not solved yet.
June 25, 200422 yr i think if he dosent work on his control or devolpeing an out pitch his gonna be pitching out of the bull pen after the break or next year.
June 25, 200422 yr Author 2.Conine just has had over 10 seasons of quality play to back him up. He is struggling terribly, give him another few weeks then see where to go. The average is there, he just needs to pick up some RBIs. Give him a couple more weeks doesn't fly anymore. It's almost the midpoint of the season for god sakes! Jeff is usually the most consistent bat in any lineup he's placed in, but right now he's not producing. We need to put our best nine out in the field everyday, and I don't think Jeff Conine is one of those nine. The guy is a professional hitter, and yet I can't recall the last ball he hit to right field.
June 25, 200422 yr Best part of your rant....... Cordero=Key Kindsa forgot about him, but I can think of alot worse things to have than a veteran, proven and relatively stable club in the LU. I hate to say it, but it may be time for that long, slow goodnight into platoonville for Conine. If nothing else, his health has proven that he's just not as durable (tear) as he once was. No shame in taking a seat for a couple or three games a week.
June 25, 200422 yr Conine had a good game I dont know what you are b***hing about Im pretty sure he was 2 for 4 with a walk Night before he had a 3 run jack Leave the guy alone thats Xactaly what im sayin..... ya 2 games dont make a season...... but these are signs that dude is commin out of his slump...... 24 RBI's ya he should have 35-40...... but when he gets hot well be all happy....... we coudl have won that game last night but when you give up 9 rusn chances are you will lose most the time..... leave niner alone now if he doesnt have 40-45 RBi;'s by AUgust than there is a prob and ill say you were right..... and stop ventin so much go to google and look up some porn!
