June 26, 200421 yr Now as you all know I have been to the Trop in the day and at night, but tonight the lights changed the amount of brightness during the game. It was weird to see lights changing around and moving, but it did happen. When the Marlins were on defense, they were so bright my glasses changed to sunglasses, but when the Marlins were hitting the lights in the outfield would stay the same as the infield lights would dim. :whistle Now I know teams always create home field advantages, but this is rediculous. To test my theory, I set my glasses on a flat surface and periodically had them checked by others and it was changing. Also I got into a verbal fight with a Devil Rays "fan" in which he asked for our green cards (My row was comprised of a young couple who had driven up from Miami, my party, a family of four with 2 young children, and another family of four with two older children...all Marlins fans) and then tried to provoke us by saying that they were going to no-hit us. Lowell promtply hit that ball to the outfield and while they made such a big deal of reaching .500, as the out of town scoreboard clearly illustrated, the Marlins were in first place. All they did was talk smack about how either we or Montreal would be kicked out of the NL so the almighty Devil Rays could join the NL. :lol The half-price beer really got to their heads.
June 26, 200421 yr Author More conspiracy theories? ? It is not a conspiracy, we all know certain teams do certain things. The Giants water down the basepaths, the Twins change the air vents, etc.
June 26, 200421 yr Author OK, but I think you should wait for the others to get home and post. The lights were unbearable in there tonight.
June 26, 200421 yr well, i didnt notice the lights changing...so maybe i didnt pay attention. what row were u sitting in? i was row 141 sec V seat 21, there were a few marlins fans around. i was trying to see if any of them were from the site, i asked a few...if any of u went i was the only marlins fan with the marlins jacket on. but man, the game was depressing. these rays fans were heckling conine saying, "YOU WASHED UP BUM! WHY DONT YOU GROUND OUT AGAIN! CONINE SUCKS!" it was really annoying. but i managed some autographs, i got wayne rosenthal's, manzy's,perisho's and borlands. i also sat and talked to david rosenthal, his brother.

June 26, 200421 yr Author I was near the Marlins bullpen.....poor Ben Howard. They did everything but punch the guy.

June 26, 200421 yr Author I was near the Marlins bullpen.....poor Ben Howard. They did everything but punch the guy. whos they and what exactly where they doing? The rowdy Rays "fans." They called him all the names you can possibly do in English and Spanish, then they threw stuff at him and the bullpen, then they got on Koch but he just looked at them like stop or die, then they went back to Howard when Tony Tavarez finally got security to boot them out.
June 26, 200421 yr Author Tavarez wanted to move the pitchers into the dugout, but the game was almost over so he didn't bother. This one guy grabbed his balls making fun of Manzanillo in front of children and also got tossed from the game.
June 26, 200421 yr Author Tony Taylor not Tavarez. Sorry Admin, you are right. Why did I say Tavarez? It is Taylor.

June 26, 200421 yr Author The security guys and the ushers did nothing unless somebody got mad and told them to. Unbelievable.
June 26, 200421 yr The security guys and the ushers did nothing unless somebody got mad and told them to. Unbelievable. the bald security guard was a jackass. i was down there with my bro trying to get autographs, and manzy was up, and i got my 'graph and i sat down waitng for my bro nd the guard told me to get to my seat... i came back when the game started tho...only yo get userd back to my section..
June 26, 200421 yr Author Yeah, I was right in that section. I could talk to them, but I'd rather drive the 2-3 hours to Miami and sit in the "bad" weather than go there again. Tonight was bad...too much booze and not enough security.

I was in a red shirt and blue jeans because I had just come from work and I was with a girl. I knew that tonight was college/drunk night and knew that wearing Marlins gear would not be the smartest thing having to walk to my car after the game at 10 PM.

Gee, the Rays are only at .500 and their fans think they have room to talk.
June 26, 200421 yr Author I think it is so sad they are excited to see .500....maybe over .500 I would understand, but just .500.......let's make sure they don't see the sunnyside for another 3 games shall we
