Marlins turn to D-Train in Atlanta

Florida (40-36) at Atlanta (36-39), 7:05 p.m. ET

By Joe Frisaro / MLB.com

Marlins left-hander Dontrelle Willis has faced the Braves three times this season. Tuesday night will mark the fourth, and the first start ever for the D-Train at Turner Field.

The Marlins take on the Braves in the second of a four-game series in Atlanta. Monday's 6-1 loss was delayed three hours and 20 minutes because of rain.

The Marlins are hopeful the inconsistent Willis will regain the form that made him the National League's 2003 Rookie of the Year.

The energetic Willis has enjoyed an topsy-turvy sophomore season. In his last two starts, the 22-year-old is 0-2 with a 10.38 ERA. However, in his last three road starts, the lefty from Alameda, Calif., is 2-0 with a 1.96 ERA, giving up seven runs (five earned) in 23 innings.

In his two-year career, the Marlins are 26-16 when Willis starts. But they are 7-8 in his 15 starts this season.

DT's Prediction: Offense wakes up, good Dontrelle shows up... Fish win 17-4...

*Anti-jinx engaged from now until the end of this game.*

I will complete this thread with the rest of the info later in the day for DT.

Well... I'm just doing this for luck... change is good thing... :plain

I hope you bring luck DT, but Ramp made the last thread. Check your PM and I will see you later.

Watch Hampton get a no hitter against us. We need Jason Kendall.

Read my post here. .

We can win without Pudge, Lee, Kendall, or Bonds. It's just a matter of basic baseball which the marlins aren't playing.

marlins lose ... marlins lose ... that team sucks rotten eggs

::reverse psychology::

attempt # 2

baseball is superstitious like that

Hope the Fish win tonight...I won't be able to see the game as I'll be busy cheering on the Yankees to beat the Sox

I think it would be easier for us to do "positive" than "non-stupid." But both would be extrememly difficult!
