Their is not one doubt and I will stick by this, No Confederate had any right and no just cause to kill US Soilders. States rights my ass their's no damn reason to do that. What happened went towards the evolution of the strong federal government which Adams visioned and said would be more perfect. It also dissolved some of the immoral laws states were able to uphold due to more powerful states rights, it stopped those as he said it would and evolved into the government that is today. I say Adams contradicts The Confederates States Position. Jefferson Davis said "All we ask is to be let alone" . -- You claim to be against gay marriage, why should they be not left alone? It's not like The South was doing the morale thing with Slavery.
