Anyways I was just wondering because I think a kid from my high school is on the team this year. Essex Taylor is his name.

Honestyly didn't know there were many 1-AA public schools. Most historically black colleges are private institutions up north.

Shame Boston University cancelled their program a few years ago. They cut the program because it was tapped into basketball and hockey's profits.

 

I would guess because of money in 1-A programs that a lot of schools will be tempted to jump over the next decade. Unless they are non-schloarship (Ivy, Patriot for the most part) or have deep ties to a conference like the old Southern, and HBCU conferences (MEAC, Southland).
