There is no salary cap in baseball, and we couldn't afford to resign someone like that. I remember in December, when the news was made that he wasn't resigned, AFTER EVERYONE HERE WAS SO DAMN SURE he was comming back, and i remember thinking to myself... "damn, this could be what keeps us from repeating" Small Maket team? would Pudge put us THAT much over our budget. If i had the money Loria had, i'd resign him in a heart beat. Jeez, it's not like Loria wouldnt be well off signing pudge back. But its over, nothing we can do now. But I'll continue to bark at it till i die, or untill we sign a decent catcher. And if our FO doens't resign our starting rotation, wtf then? They are the only reason why we are still in the hunt. If they go, my faith in the FO is gone. They better do something to win me over.
