JMLinkinPark
Keep Stokes! 482043 Though its possible, I dont think the Rockies need Stokes with Todd Helton covering 1B for them.
JJ24
What we need is a catcher with a productive bat. That eliminates Mayne. 482047 Lo duca ???

farmer_fran
yeah i think walker would still be with us for next year and a 06' option which means hes not a rentall 482048 which is exactly why we shouldn't get him. I want a rental. I don't want a guy that will hinder us from resigning our current players next year.

flasportsfan88
Well heres my thing on walker his groins finally healthy what he hasnt really been since 2002 even though he plays most of last year. By the way he batted .338 in 2002 and is batting .330 in his 31 games this season. Higher ceiling than guillen i think.
Marlins2003
One thing that may play a part in trading with Colorado is the $2 million they owe us this year and $2.5 million they owe us next season as part of the Hampton/Pierre/Wilson/CJ/throw-ins megatrade. On one hand you can say we need that money to help defray the payments to Atlanta for Hampton and you'd be 100% right but depending on what kind of creative accounting might be employed IF ( a big IF) a deal goes down don't be surprised if that $$$ plays a part in the trade. --------- One other thought regarding Colorado. Some of you might remember that after the Fish won the World Series the Rockies' owner had some very unpleasant comments to make about our franchise and I keep thinking ultimately that may play a part in negotiations.
