August 11, 200422 yr I know this has been discussed before and maybe since im a marlin fan its a perceived notion, but more often than not calls go against the marlins, in fact it was so noticeable last night that lo duca showed obvious frustration in the 9th inning because of how many bad calls went against the marlins. My solution is that tonight we put a small red bird on the umpires shirt so no one can be fooled into thinking of their neutrality.
August 11, 200422 yr its been all season like the league doesnt want the fish to do well or something

How many times have he been tossed this year? Once or twice? If you feel you are getting bad calls from the Ump, you go to the field and let the UMP have it and get tossed if necessary. It's part of the game.
August 11, 200422 yr yeah..last night (i was at the game) - it was just horrible. We could see it from the stands! These umps are blind.
August 11, 200422 yr ok, lets be honest, we have a bit too much bias and conspiracy theorists here... the league is not out to get anyone. we lose our own games, not the umps. and before you make any comment I HAVE WATCHED EVERY SINGLE GAME THIS SEASON. and am a die-hard marlins fan

I saw someone safe, get called out..I saw several high strikes called, and balls called strikes (and these were obvious) - the most obvious the Duca strike where he got ejected.
August 11, 200422 yr bad calls, yes, that loduca pitch was a stirke, the one to pierre was not.. BUT THERE ISNT A DAMNED CONSPIRACY. NOW ENOUGH OF THIS UMPIRE CRAP AND FOCUS ON OUR TEAM NOT BEATING OURSELVES LIKE THEY HAVE 40+ TIMES THIS YEAR. you're beginning to sound like red sox fans... im disgusted by this topic.

I know I cant when Im at the game
August 11, 200422 yr Author I'm not syaing theres a conspiracy, but more often than not this season most close calls have gone against us.
August 11, 200422 yr how can you tell from the stands? I know I cant when Im at the game When i sit in the fish tank i can see perfectly, but when i sit in the infield box seats...its hard. So it depends where ya sit.
August 11, 200422 yr I agree calls were terrible last night . The only thing we have to blame is the hitting . We left runners stranded all night . Pitching was lights out , even Mota looked good except that first damn pitch . This team reminds me of my golf game . One day my putting is amazing and my driving blows goats and the next day my driving is pro level and my short game is garbage . Marlins are playing like i golf . They cant seem to bring their game together. Im not sure if any of what i said made sense , it did when it was in my head . Sorry for babbling
August 11, 200422 yr Umps are human they will make mistakes. We remember the mistakes that go against us, but there have been plenty this year that have gone for us. I don't mind a mistake here or there, but last nights was pretty bad but what can you do
August 12, 200422 yr Umps are human they will make mistakes. We remember the mistakes that go against us, but there have been plenty this year that have gone for us. I don't mind a mistake here or there i dont really mind a simple mistake here or there either, but when its constantly going on in every game "which it is" then thats when mckeon really needs to get onto that field and say something to the umps.....alex gonzalez says more than him "even though a-gon says pretty much more than anyone in the league" those umps are just blind.
August 12, 200422 yr I sat next to some guy tonight who looks over the umpires... apparently they arent so happy with Guccione and seconds after he says that, Guccione blows the call at 3b... it was gold Guccione did not get a check +
