February 11, 200323 yr Link He gets $1 mil if he makes the opening day roster, and $1 mil in other incentives. He will only be added to the 40 man roster if he makes the team. later.....
February 11, 200323 yr nice work but i hope r.helling wakes up and starts doing better than the previouse 2 or 3 seasons...
February 11, 200323 yr he will make the team and be a solid 2 or 3 starter. I agree with you and i think he will be their 3rd starter.
February 11, 200323 yr As an Oriole fan, I can say I like the move....but his high ERA the last few years is scary. The O's need help big time in the rotation.
February 12, 200323 yr Author If nothing else, Helling is a guy that should eat up a lot of innings for the O's. His ERA is a little high, but still a full 2 to 3 runs lower than Jose Lima, a guy that some on this board seem to think would be great on the Marlins later.......
February 12, 200323 yr Nice to see another former Marlin with the Orioles. cgator- I agree... He can be dominant as he has been earlier with the Rangers...But he just needs to get back in stride.. Not a bad pick.
