August 24, 200421 yr Has anyone noticed that Lowell may soon be 4th (FOURTH) in RBI's on the team....both Alex and Niner are very close to overtaking Mikey. I sure hope he sees them in his rearview mirror and starts hitting the ball HARD and OFTEN!
August 24, 200421 yr I wonder if mikey has some sort of injury thats seriously affecting his performance, b/c he usually has second half slumps but this one is terrible
August 24, 200421 yr Well he has been getting some hits and getting on base a lot of times, hes just not driving in runners...he dosent hit good when it counts, and he has to work on that. his batting average is still good though.
August 24, 200421 yr Lowell was just on a 6 game hitting streak...this is just a sign that Niner and Sea Bass are picking it up. Lowell is fine.
August 24, 200421 yr I sure hope he sees them in his rearview mirror and starts hitting the ball HARD and OFTEN! 524401 I don't think his teammates possibly outproducing him will motivate him. He's trying hard and producing anyway, do you think he's competing with Conine and Gonzalez?

August 24, 200421 yr Author What is the comparison of RISP between Lowell and AGon? 524457 Good question....I wouldn't be surprised if Sea Bass's is higher
August 24, 200421 yr Only thing I can think of is that the second half slump is in his head. He has been hitting the ball a little better recently though. I look for him to break out soon.
August 24, 200421 yr Lowell RISP- .287 BA - 25 BB - 3 HR - 43 RBIs - .395 OBP - .434 SLG - .829 OPS - 18 SO and 37 H in 129 AB Gonzalez RISP .246 BA - 5 BB - 8 HR - 49 RBIs - .269 OBP - .525 SLG - .794 OPS - 31 SO and 30 H in 122 AB Conine RISP .265 BA - 16 BB - 7 HR - 56 RBIs - .355 OBP - .529 SLG - .884 OPS - 19 SO and 27 H in 102 AB
August 24, 200421 yr Man Conine has improved his numbers big time over the past month and a half. Wasn't his RISP average around .200 when a lot of people hated him
August 24, 200421 yr Author :thumbdown Lowell's been underacheving for too long. 524731 Agreed :confused
August 24, 200421 yr :thumbdown Lowell's been underacheving for too long. 524731 He's killing my fantasy team. I want the guy who was hitting .344 and was in the top 10 in the MLB in HRs back, please.
August 24, 200421 yr Too bad we didn't sit Conine like everyone wanted to a couple of months ago. Score another one for track record.
August 24, 200421 yr Gah, we go through this every season. He always slows down. Cut the man a break. He'll get some big hits down the stretch.
