Zo to Make Comeback with Nets

Featured Replies

Almost a year after he announced his retirement from basketball due to his kidney disease, former Heat center Alonzo Mourning has made his intention public to return to basketball this season. His condition had deteriorated enough a year ago that his doctors told him he could be taking a serious health risk if he continues to play. He says that his condition has once again improved enough that he will attempt to play again for the Nets, the team he signed a four year deal with back in 2003.

I really admire the drive inside Zo, most guys would have just given it up with what hes gone through. But at some time, doesnt he view his health as more important? Each time he has tried to come back, hes ended up harming himself to the point where he almost needs a transplant.

he already had a transplant and there is nothing now that should effect him. i say let him try even though i hate him for jolting the heat for more cash after what we gave him and had to go through because of his kidney

i say he should go for it, he has the heart and it's not like he'll play a lot of minutes anyway.

i wish him the best of luck
