Unfortunately, I'm in Pennsylvania at school (Gettysburg), so I can only listen to it on the radio.

(BTW: G-Burg on the road vs. Lebanon Valley College for those who follow DIII Football)

SoCon action today against some d-1a...Georgia Southern (probably our biggest rival) plays Georgia in a little bit.

Furman's d-1a game isnt for another couple weeks, when we play Pittsburgh.

Western Carolina (another SoCon school) plays at 'Bama next weekend.

and Fox Sports South

The Southern Conference is the real deal, fellas....

we (Furman) should have beaten Clemson last year (we lost by 11). Hey, we lost by less than both FSU and UT did to Clemson last season. The dirty part, is that we SHOULD have won...going over the tape the next Monday, it was obvious.

I cannot wait till we play Pitt.

Temple played like disgraces....I'm ashamed to even be rooting for them.

Southern's got the ball again...I love seeing the SoCon play well against d-1a schools...and I love seeing Georgia suck.

Does anyone hear like any of the evening games to gamble on?

Well Elon's game did not go as well as I had hoped with the new coach and all losing 34-13 to Towson.

Coach's son was starting QB which was the main problem. He was a sad display. Threw two INTs, but out of the 17 passes he through in the first half about 7 of them were deflected or dropped by Towson. He also threw a swing pass from Elon's own 30 with 5 secs to go in the first half which was then picked off and returned for a TD. :plain

New QB in second half did much better along with the defense which was fooled badly by the reverse 4 times. But that was with many backups in for Towson. Rush defense is still a gigantic problem.

Anyways not too good of a start, but it really can't get worse than last year, at least I hope. Good luck later today Furman, assuming it will be a blowout.

I've heard about the coach playing his son...that really sucks

If Elon is like ETSU of old (with the new coach, I assume so), they'll be practically changing their offense (and defense) every week. They don't even have a set offense (lol, I've helped run their offense on scout team).

Anyway, who's Elon got next week?

make that 33 (probably 34 w/extra point)

That game fell apart pretty quickly, impressed they hung with a damn good GA team that long

the heels trailed 24-14 at the half today but came back to win 49-38

this would be good news to me, but....

they played william and mary! for god sakes, theyre the easiest team on the schedule and the heels are down at the half. what a joke
