September 6, 200421 yr Man, the IQ of this board has experienced a steady drop over the past couple of weeks. 544136 Word. A lot of newbies on this board sound like they haven't watched but 10 games.
September 6, 200421 yr LMAO, ypu probably haven't even seen him play. I bet he wins a gold glove next year, beating out Rolen and Lowell. 543536 :lol :lol That has to be the funniest thing i read in a while. Wright will not be a Met after his contract is up. :lol 543993 Tell that to Pudge and Derek Lee, you have no room to talk at all. 544130 Pudge? Who cares we now have Paul LoDuca and Lee couldnt hit with RISP. So no biggie.
September 6, 200421 yr Not to say that Cabrera should win a Gold Glove, in fact he is far from it, but in his defense I want to remind you all of a couple of diving catches he made against the Astros (I think) at the beginning of the season. He makes his mistakes, but keep in mind that this is his first full year playing in the outfield, he'll get better.

He sucks, but in a couple years he'll be fine.
September 6, 200421 yr Diving catches look nice (anyone remember Lenny Harris taking 5 steps to a ball and diving?), but give me an outfielder who can chase down a hard-hit line drive.
September 7, 200421 yr Anyone who thinks Cabrera deserves a gold glove is insane. He leads the league in errors, someone that leads the league in errors does not win a gold glove and it's just that simple. Balls that Cabrera lets drop would be catchable for many veteran outfielders, not to mention his speed is a HUGE handicap. Cabrera is a good candidate for the Louisville Silver Slugger award, not a Gold Glove.
