Not as smooth as Lowell, but every bit as agile as Rolen. Doubt next year, although the New York hype should help in years to come.

I bet you've never heard of half the team until the World Series last year. I love how people like you are coming to games now, and showing support, but maybe you should keep some of your comments to yourself. First you say Cabrera deserves a "Golden" Glove. That's such a joke I don't know what to think. My boy has lost us a couple of games and has been shaky in the outfield all year. Sure, he tries, but effort only counts in Little League, not playing in the Big Leagues. The only reason he's in the outfield, is because Mike Lowell, an above average fielder, is holding down his true position, 3rd base and Jeff Conine's career will be extended at 1st. If Miguel wasn't one of baseball's premier young players, or one of the best of anyone, and was an under average hitter, he wouldn't see a lick of the field, as he has cost us big on more than one occasion this year. But the fact is Cabrera is a beast, and his .315 average and 90something RBI make up for his frequent mistakes. And hey, he has shown potential. He has an above average arm and made a tremendous play in Houston this year. He's an athlete and may learn to play outfield in the next couple years. But saying he deserves the Gold Glove based on effort is just laced with feces.
