Posted September 15, 200420 yr the candidates Aaron Small Ben Howard Logan Kensing Id like to see Kensing get another start but Howard would be fine with me too
September 15, 200420 yr All the choices suck. None of these guys have shown they can pitch more than 3 or 4 innings in the majors. I suppose the lesser of the 3 evils is Kensing.
September 15, 200420 yr Well, whoever doesn't pitch in tonight's game I guess. Wouldn't mind Kensing to be honest.
September 15, 200420 yr Time to break out the secret weapon: David Samson. Not too imposing atleast physically, but he keeps the ball low and has a nasty slider.

September 15, 200420 yr I think Howard. I would like to see Kensing get another shot - but not against the Braves. We need a guy who can mix it up and let the Braves make contact. For that, our best bet is probably Small, but I would like to see Howard get some work in. I also think that Pav's and Bump's performances today are important. The bullpen needs some rest so that if we get into trouble on Friday, the pen can come in early. A good challenge for this team. I think that this is a good thing - everyone will get involved and shake the rust off.
September 15, 200420 yr Then again, Weathers could get a start. It would be just like old times.... 559616[/snapback] Old times were bad.
September 15, 200420 yr I still think the Marlins will trade anyone and/or spend a million dollars to acquire some insurance to get through the end of the regular season. I wouldn't be surprised to see a new Marlin before the end of the day.
September 15, 200420 yr I don't know who the Marlins should pick to replace him but whoever they pick can become a superstar because that happens with a lot of players that start off small with the Marlins. A lot of our players were bad before they played with us so if they did good and now you trust them than you can do the samething with these guys.

September 15, 200420 yr Other options include Justin Wayne and Trevor Hutchinson (at the cost of valuable experience in the Arizona fall league)

September 15, 200420 yr I hope AJ is ok. The inflamed elbow better not cause him to miss more than 2 starts. Remember Benitez was out for 2 weeks. Hope u get better baby! :super
