September 16, 200421 yr I can understand why people might be against abortion or third trimester abortion, but why is the relgious right so against contraceptives and the morning after pill. I was wondering if anyone who supports teh position to regulate these wouldnt mind making the case. And if people think this isnt an issue then they are wrong. It is. With the new conscience clauses flying around, a lot of people in rural areas might not be able to get contraceptives and morning after pills. I mean dont we have to accept the fact that people have sex outside the bounds of marriage now? People have sex but now we have to accept the population explosion? How do people here feel about this?

I say just don't have sex if you don't want to get pregnant, but if you do, do all that you can to avoid abortion. Sounds kinda vague, but I don't really have much more to say about it.

September 16, 200421 yr It ridiculous to be against the morning after pill IMO. It's a much smarter choice than abortion. Don't get me wrong though, people should do everything in their power to not have to worry about pregnancy in the first place.

September 16, 200421 yr I don't really care if someone takes the morning after pill, but I don't think anyone should get an abortion just for the purpose that they don't want a baby. If you don't want to have a kid, then make sure you don't get pregnant. It's not that hard.

September 16, 200421 yr I for one do not see any logic in opposing the "morning after pill." I hope to never have to be in a situation where it is needed, but for real, it doesn't kill a fetus... it prevents conception. It's no different than using a condom, which also prevents conception!

But you should teach both, how to use contraceptives in the case that they are needed, but abstinence as well. What's wrong with waiting? While those who will or are having sex are not being pushed into a program that will do no good for them and possibly more harm than good.
