orisha
that's right soriano. kerry does not stand for anything that article claims, if anything totally against it. he's only opposing bush on paper, they both have simmilar principles. he's not opposing bush in terms of making a change, but just in terms of getting to power. besides, bringing abraham lincoln as to what republicans stand for? yes, he was the 1st republican president, but if anything he stands for the contrary. sic semper tiranus
Flying_Mollusk
I respect pure libertarians, even though I dont agree with them on everything. Its the conservatives who allow social control posing as libertarians that piss me off.
SorianoFanHFW
i think we all know my "hands off policy" on society, I'm quite socially liberal. KErry said he plans on INCREASING the amount of men in iraq. he does not plan on curtailing the military industrail complex. he is rather shameless when it comes to perpetuating all other parts of our bureaucracy. personally i want kerry to win for moral reasons and reason for political checks and balances, but the truth is that if you don't beleive in imposing your values on others and believe in economic conservatism, check out the LP. Hotcorner
We have a Republican House, a Republican Senate and a Republican President, and yet spending beyond homeland security has skyrocketed. By any measure, this Administration has abandoned the prudence and caution that were the hallmarks of my Republican Party. Sums it up right there. These TV ads where Bush talks about all these wonderful things he wants to do... Has he been waiting for a rainy day? What's he been waiting for? You've had the white house and both houses of congress! You've had carte blanche to get all these things done and what have you accomplished? KErry said he plans on INCREASING the amount of men in iraq.? 560964[/snapback] True enough but he'd be stuck in a situation he didn't create. You could also argue he wouldn't have gotten us into this in the first place. I think he'd consider increasing the troops at this point to try & increase security and bring this to a resolution & then get everyone home, as opposed to stringing this out for a decade... Niether are particularly good. Furthermore with the Iraq situation, I don't see how more men can help. Unless we have soldiers in every neighborhood, there is room to move around and conduct illegal activities. America needs to take a cue from Israel and do some targeted assassinations and let political infighting do the rest. However, bush and kerry want to practically colonize Iraq. that's the problem.
