September 22, 200422 yr It's tough to be a fan of any sucky team, period. Doesn't matter how much expectation you have, if your team sucks they just plain old suck. I don't think expectation plays into it if you really like some team that's awful. I imagine if your team is at the bottom of your conference consistantly, and you still root for them, it'd be worse over time, than rooting for a preseason predicted National Championship team that doesn't win a game. I mean, at least the good team will eventually be good. The crappy team that sucks over many years almost has no hope (I should know; being a Cincinnati Bengal fan for ten plus awful seasons plays with your psyche).
