September 24, 200422 yr The German Autobahn has taken on an almost legendary mystique. The reality is a little different than the legend. The myth of no speed limits is countered by the fact that Tempolimits are a fact of life on most of Germany's highways, and traffic jams are common. Signs suggesting a recommended speed limit of 130 km/h (80 mph) are posted along most autobahns, while urban sections and a few dangerous stretches sometimes have posted speed limits as "low" as 100 km/h (62 mph). The fact is that Germany's autobahn system is an extensive network of limited-access freeways that can usually provide a driver with a speedy route from city to city.
September 24, 200422 yr I top out at 80. Mostly because A) I like my limbs all intact, and I don't trust other drivers enough to be able to speed so close to them and B) my car shakes when it goes too fast. 570552 I recommend you balance your wheels or check engine mounts. 570569 I've done all that. The car itself is fine, it just has issues with speed and AC. It's a really used car, 98 that just passed 100,000 miles 3 weeks ago.
September 24, 200422 yr Campus and neighborhoods I do around the speed limit. But other than that, at least 10mph over the speed limit.

There has to be something wrong for the car to shake and good thing you're not speeding too much because all the vibration will damage your engine mounts($$$). I think the car might missfiring due to timing belt or it coulb be something as simple as you tire treads?(Just my guess) Have you change your timing belt?It already time to change. It is recommended to change your timing belt around 90,000 miles. It not cheap though to change the timing belt but is better to get over with before the car breaksdown.

It's not a major shake, and I appear to be the only one that notices. I'm guessing it's only on the bottom and that's the reason only I notice. Isn't enough to give me a good massage or anything.
September 24, 200422 yr I dont mess with school zones or small towns because thats where they'll get you. Palmetto I usually hit baout 60-65 depending what time of the day. And on 1-75 I hit about 75-80 mph. But usually I'll go about 5 mph above regular speed limit. I'm just constantly checking the mirrors for cops and for idiots. :thumbup

September 25, 200422 yr since i used to be a prof. theif i memorized cops tail lights and headlights. i can spot a cop from a mile away unless hes hiding int he bushes. i also know most of the cops routes and times in my neighborhood . so yea if i see no cop im going as fast as i can go switching lanes and all. i topped out at 145 one time going from gainesville to tampa and it took less than a hr. but i had a decoy in front of me that was going 150 so yea i speed the smart way. i only got 1 speeding ticket and it was a trap in the middle of nowhere. im untouchable baby!
September 25, 200422 yr Never go over 5-10 pass the limit. But if I'm near a school, I'm more careful.
