Could you add a sub-board somewhere for this? I would love to start a reading club with people on the site. Discuss the latest non-fiction, fiction, poetry, etc.

Is this a serious request or a joke one because of the numerous specialized boards which have popped up?

I think he is serious

Oh ok. Cool, I'll wait for some feedback on the suggestion. :thumbup

Serious. I already proposed a reading group in the political board. Thanks for considering it.

I'd like it, I think discussion would pick up as you can certainly go into lengthy discussions on certain subjects as I've at least experienced(Ray Bradbury's works and how right it appears he may be, probably being my favorite).

Plus it would be a lot easier to discuss without having to comb through threads about movies or cds.

i'll support it. that is an awesome idea.

I like this idea. I think it would be pretty cool to have that. I'm pretty much a book worm so I definally support this.

*Gets reading list ready*

It's a great idea and I'd love to participate, but I doubt the support and interaction would be high. I'd like it though.

I'll participate.

IMHO it's a good idea.

Consider the board demographics. Almost everyone here is in HS or college. Heck, even a few of us real big losers already finished college. So there's alot of commonality in possible content. I mean, who here hasn't has to read Lord of the Flies 769 times already?

Also woudn't hurt for those in school to read some differing opinions about literary works that they may currently be reading or writing papers about. If nothing else the potential for plagerism would be a huge bonus.

Ok, I'll go create it as a sub-forum in The "Media Guide" area.

If it becomes inactive, it will be removed as any other board would be. Hopefully it winds up being a good addition.

Thanks dood!

Way to go Larrizle

I don't know if we're going to be able to pry Shamrock out of the literature thread. I'm having trouble myself not trolling between that and the religion thread.

Thanks for the new section Admin and Shamyourock.
